About copycatting.
First of all, thanks for all the kind words of support regarding my grandmother. A long overdue thank you note, but not any less appreciated. We went to visit her last weekend, and she's looking better- no tubes up her nose and she can finally eat some food. I don't know when she will be discharged but I can see she's desperately wanting to be on her own bed and watch ASTRO until her eyes drop out. All she has on the hospital's television are TV1, TV2 and TV3 so yes fellow Malaysians, imagine the boredom. When we were there, we spent an hour pretending to be facsinated about a documentary on bees.

But besides that, I haven't been updating very often and have't been commenting much either. Very sorry! Will be catching up with everyone's life as soon as I get the chance.

I'm in college now and I'm supposed to be concentrating on the lesson going on but bleh, you put a computer with internet facilities in front of a girl who hasn't been online for a while... you can't expect me to resist, can you?

Today, my topic will be on plagiarism. I opened up a blog yesterday and found one of my previous entries on it! I don't know to be amused that someone would actually bother copying and pasting my sentences and adding additional sentences and passing it off as her own; or to be extremely annoyed as this is not the first thing she has taken from me.

I'm a little embarassed to say it, I'm a bit of both. Like woah, she likes my entries so much that she had to pass it off as her own. But on the flipside: how can you actually PLAGIARISE my entry? Hello! Especially when you know you're linked from my page and you actually had the balls to LINK ME BACK? Are you not terrified by the idea that I might one day open your blog, which I did, and discover what you did? UGH. Why is everything so BLATANT these days? Whatever happened to subtlety?

I should really go up and confront her about it but dammit la, she's got this nice girl persona going on and I'm too much of a freaking doormat. So if she's reading this and I do hope you know who you are- I don't want to be proclaiming your name for the world to know- please STOP taking my ideas, okay? People are telling me that I should have just put your link here and actually take what you wrote and compare it to mine but I don't want to make a big deal out of this. I guess I'm taking this one easy but if it happens again, none of my friends are gonna allow me to sit it through so calmly.

Lerr, this is not the first time mah!

Other times also got! She stole the bloody top bar about the ear plugs, Jacey's nice was Strawberries and Champagne that one also stole... damn annoying.

Some more professes to be all Christian pulak. Blogging bout A her classmate who is irresponsible, she pulak? Just as bad! Stealing some more! At least the guy didnt steal anyone's work and passed it off as HIS OWN!!!!!!!!!! like her!!!!

Praying for him, she should pray for herself. Watch her turn this into some self pity show. typical of hypocrites.

Hi. Just surfed on. I do agree plagiarism is a serious matter; I'm from the designing field btw. I have no comments whatsoever about your friend because I do not know what's going on. But I do not see why the question of faith is linked. Being a Christian does not make us nice people, a good children, responsible citizens, excellent students, etc. Same goes if you're a Muslim, Buddhist or whatever your beliefs. Just my humble opinion.

I do agree. I myself did not think religion or faith had anything to do with this

Sorry, anonymous #3 :) you have your views, i have mine.

if you're using the web interface to update your journal, check the "disallow comments" checkbox ;)
